Springer to host 8 town hall meetings Monday

Texas Rep. Drew Springer, R-Muenster, will host eight town hall meetings in six counties on Monday.

“There is no better way to communicate with my constituents than to come and visit with them personally," he said in a news release. "I am putting together 56 Town Halls and covering almost 5,000 miles to do just that. I look forward to seeing everyone soon!"

The following is Springer's schedule for meetings:

  • Vernon from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the Wilbarger Memorial Auditorium, Western Room, 2100 Yamparika Street
  • Quanah from 9-10 a.m. at the 3 Rivers Ballroom Foyer, 216 South Main Street
  • Wheeler from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the County Courtroom, 400 South Main Street
  • Shamrock from 1-2 p.m. at the Shamrock City Hall Annex, 114 W Second Street
  • Wellington from 2:30-3:30 pm at the District Courtroom, 800 W Avenue
  • Memphis from 4-5 p.m. at the Hall County Courthouse, 3rd Floor District Courtroom, 512 West Main Street
  • Childress from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at 501 Winery, 109 Avenue East NW
  • Childress for Farm Bureau Members from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Childress Event Center, 1100 Seventh Street NW

The purpose of the town hall meetings is to give constituents of Texas House District 68, which is comprised of 22 counties, the opportunity to get involved in the political process, the release states. Springer plans to talk about work accomplished during the 85th Texas Legislature and will also take questions and hear concerns from those in the audience.

Texas Sen. Charles Perry, R-Lubbock, will be with Springer at the Vernon, Quanah and Childress meetings.
