India fast bowler Mohammed Shami has said he has sent some special gifts, including Mutton biryani, to head coach Ravi Shastri on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr which is being celebrated on Monday.

Mohammed Shami took to social media to post photos of packed Mutton Biryani, and Eid special desserts -- Kheer and Seviyan to Ravi Shastri.

"Ravi bhai, I have packed and sent Seviyan, Kheer and Mutton Biryani. You should receive it in some time," Mohammed Shami wrote.

Mohammed Shami's love for biryani is well-documented. It seems the India pacer has celebrated Eid, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, by treating himself to some of dishes that are known for making the festival more special.

Earlier in the day, Shami wishes his fans and fellow cricketers on social media: "id Mubarak! May Allah fulfill your all dreams and hopes."

At this time of the year, Shami would have been busy rattling the stumps in the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, with the T20 league having been suspensed until further notice due to the Covid-19 pandemic, India cricket stars have been spending time with their families during the lockdown.

While most India stars, including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been limiting themselves to indoor training, Mohammed Shami has had the luxury of doing some individual outdoor training at the training facility at his residence in his native Sahaspur village in Uttar Pradesh.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said last week it will wait and watch before taking a call on organising a skill-based training camp for its contracted players.

A few India players, including off-spinner R Ashwin and pacer Shardul Thakur, have already begun individual outdoor training at training facilities in their home towns after the government eases restrictions and allowed usage of sports complexes and stadiums without fans.

"Taking into the account the restrictions on air travel and movement of people till May 31, the BCCI will wait further before organizing a skill-based training camp for its contracted players," BCCI had said in a statement after the lockdown restrictions were eased earlier this month.
