Fatal Bicycle Crash on Pine Ridge Avenue Kills 36-Year-Old Dontril Biggs

APPLE VALLEY, CA (September 3, 2021) Dontril Biggs, 36, tragically died in a bicycle accident on Pine Ridge Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.

The collision took place around 12:52 p.m. at the intersection of Pine Ridge Avenue and Jicarilla Road in the Town of Apple Valley.

According to reports, a white Ford van was driving north on Jicarilla Road when it ran the stop sign and collided with a bicyclist riding east on Pine Ridge.

Biggs, who had suffered serious injuries, was taken to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment, where he died as a result of his injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford was unharmed and remained at the scene.

Furthermore, officials closed the intersection for about an hour due to cleanup and investigation.
