One winner who made an early impression was George Sampson, who clinched the title in the show's second series back in 2008 at the tender age of 14.

Now 31, George wowed the judges with his dance routines, most notably his performance to Mint Royale's remix of Singin' in the Rain, complete with an on-stage rain machine.

Fast forward seventeen years from that memorable finale, and George has since ventured into acting. He also identifies as a 'gamer/nerd' on his Instagram account, which boasts a substantial following of 68.9K, reports Wales Online.

Post-Britain's Got Talent, George joined the cast of Waterloo Road in 2011, playing the character Kyle Stack until 2013.

His acting career continued to flourish with roles in Mount Pleasant as Gary, Casualty as Callum Bradley, The Dumping Ground as Danny, and a stint in Emmerdale as Ryan Harred in 2016.

In addition to his television work, George has been active in the theatre scene, featuring in numerous productions. These include Everybody's Talking About Jamie, where he played Dean Paxton from 2019 to 2022, performing in venues from the West End to Los Angeles.

Most recently, George graced the stage in Cinderella as Prince Charming from 2022 to 2023 and Snow White as Prince George in 2023.

George not only shares his career highlights with his social media followers but also gives them a glimpse into his gaming hobby.

Last year, George uploaded a comical video with the caption: "Can I still swing from a lamppost? #bgt" – a nod to the act that clinched him victory on Britain's Got Talent in 2008.

In the video, he questioned: "I'm 30-years-old, it's been 16 years, have we still got it in the bag?" before successfully executing the remarkable feat once more.

Fans were quick to react in the comments section, with one saying: "Got it? Never lost it!", another exclaimed: "oh my days, how was this 16 years ago? !", someone else commented: "Blimey has it really been 16 years I was in high school when I he won bgt!" and yet another fan remarked: "16 years! ? My god when did I get so old! ?".

Earlier this year, George also had a reunion with fellow Britain's Got Talent victors, Paul Potts and Sydnie Christmas. He wrote: "Some trio this!"
